We loved the staff, particularly the receptionist. In love with Mercure Alencon.

We chose this hotel as it was a perfect location to stop on our way back to uk we had stayed with family in the south, we had two rooms and our only complaint was neither were non smoking rooms there were ash trays? And cigarette burns on the wash basin and one room smelt strongly of smoke we were too tired to complain at the time! Other than this the hotel was perfect in every way and we would stay there again. I think you should have rooms that smokers never use. Doreen Wilson

It's just off the auto route(Southern Junc)and easy to find.Rooms are comfortable and quiet with tea making facilities. It has secure parking and the front of house staff couldn't be more helpful.Didn't eat there so can't comment on food.Large shopping centre close by,so a good place to stock up.
Nothing really.A Decent shelf in the bathroom would be good and more tea/coffee/milk in rooms. There's only enough for one cup each(we took our own stuff anyway).

Have stayed at other Mercure hotels in France, always been good quality, but this one could do with updating, dated decor and fittings, not great value, Ibis in Alencon looked better, but was fully booked

Easy to find, coming up from the south, from the Isle de Re. The rooms were of a good size and the tea making facilities were a nice touch.
Instead of Lipton Yellow label tea - English breakfast tea would have been nicer.

The family room was of a very good size by French standards
Location - it was quite far out from the downtown area and there was really nothing around it.

It was a very convenient stop on our journey across France. The foyee was light and the welcome good
Shower did not work properly so that the pressure flooded the floor. Bathroom hook too high. Only one large towel for 2 people. Room quite small. Carpet dirty. Bed hard. Publicity said eating places in vicinity. Without taking the car. there was (it was Monday) only a half finished supermarket cafe on a dark building site

location was the best factor in my choice in staying at this hotel. The rooms were fairly spacious and clean.
no airconditioning, the lights in the room, carpets slightly worn

The hotel was located only 15 minutes from the town centre with plenty of parking space
The allowing of dogs into the rooms. I would hope that those not taking dogs were not put into rooms where guests had previously had dogs,
